About Us
In 2010 the St Patrick’s College Wellington Foundation charitable trust was established to connect today’s College community with our alumni (including Old Boys, former parents, staff and friends) to safeguard the College’s financial wellbeing for future generations.
We are proud to be able to support the College thanks to the generosity of our Old Boys and wider community.

What we have done
Helping deliver the College Masterplan: Through the generosity of many, the Foundation has contributred towards the redevelopment of the O'Shea Performing Arts Centre (opened 2022), Chanel, our new learning hub and library complex (2024), the Egden Administration Block (2024) and significant earthquake strengthening.
Assisting students and families in need: Your support has allowed the Foundation to assist the College to purchase Chromebooks for a group of students so that they can participate fully in their educational learning.
Development of the Artificial Turf: 2013 saw the introduction of the only artificial turf in the eastern suburbs of Wellington. It is an educational space for our students by day and outside of hours, a wider community facility for young people to develop their sporting skills. At the beginning of 2025, the resurface of the turf was completed.
Old Boys' give back
“The College did so much for us Old Boys. For many it gave us an opportunity to grow, develop and foster our interests. I’ve kept in touch with St Patrick’s through the years, as I believe my success has had a lot to do with the encouragement and support I received there. In turn, I am pleased to support the Foundation by helping fund extracurricular programmes with a focus on academic excellence.”
