Merit Award for Luca Giera

Congratulations to Year 13 Art student Luce Giera who won a Merit Award for his digital painting entitled ‘Empty Gaze’. in the Hyundai Emerging Artist category which was part of the New Zealand Art Show. Well done Luca.

Congratulations much also go to Sam Glynan and Jatin Sharma (Year 13s) both of whom also had artwork on display. Sue Elliott, Chair of the Wellington Museum's Trust, and Wellington artist Jane Blackmore, judged the finalists in the Hyundai Emerging Artist Awards and were highly impressed with the range and quality of all the artworks, commenting on the diversity of the styles and media.
