Celebrating St Patrick’s Day

Last Monday morning fathers, grandfathers, uncles or significant male figures attended with their son our annual Big Boys Breakfast to begin the days celebration of our patron, St Patrick.

Thanks to speakers Old Boy Frank Mulvihill and Brendan Polyblank. Both Frank and Brendon are former Tall Blacks having represented New Zealand in Basketball and both men are still active and involved in the wider basketball community. They shared their life journeys from childhood right through to adulthood, and the obstacles they overcame to achieve success not only as Tall Blacks but later in life in business.

Thanks also to all the sponsors for their generosity in supporting the event, as well as to our own Parents and Friends Association for all their work in coordinating the occasion.

At morning interval, students were also treated to 'green' themed Moosies as another way of celebrating the Irish St Patrick,

Moosies

and, of course, the kura celebrated with Mass dedicated to our Patron.
