Winter Tournament Week: Monday 4 to Friday 8 September. We wish all our teams safe travel and top competition. Regular Mass Tutor Time on Friday. At our regular Tutor Time Mass tomorrow we will be praying for our Sports teams who are involved in Tournaments next week and for those students and families who need our prayers at this time.
DATES TO DIARY: Friday 1 September – Year 13’s are not required to attend school as it is Victoria University, Massey University, WelTec, Whitireia and Yoobee Open Days. Students were given information about these in Assembly yesterday. It will be a half day for all other students as staff will be involved in Professional Learning in the afternoon. The normal school day will finish at 1pm. Students will need to find their own way home as normal school buses will not be running. Thursday 7 September – the Second Hand Uniform Shop is open at lunchtime from 1 to 2pm.
PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION RAFFLE: All sold tickets and corresponding cash and any unsold tickets must be returned to the school cashier NOW as they were due back yesterday – Wednesday 30 August at the latest. Thank you to the College community for their support of this fundraising venture.
CHESS CLUB MOVIE FUNDRAISER: Help get the Saint Patrick’s Chess Club to Nationals. “Kingsman: The Golden Circle” at Lighthouse Cinema, Cuba Street, Petone on Monday 25 September at 6.30pm. Tickets $20 and can be purchased from the St Pat’s Cashier.
ENTERTAINMENT BOOK SALES: Thank you to everyone who has supported the Parents’ Association Entertainment Book fundraiser for the last 4 months. They sold a total of 46 book and digital memberships, raising a total of $598. The Parents’ Association really appreciate your continued support of this fundraiser.
KNOWLEDGE SHOP: NCEA 1 and 2 Exam Preparation Programme. Booking is open for the St Patrick’s College NCEA Preparation Programme. This highly successful programme will be run by Knowledge Shop in the first week of the upcoming holidays from Monday 2ndOctober to Friday 6th October. Subjects offered include English, science, maths and study skills. The aim of the programme is to assist students to achieve the very best possible results in the end-of-year NCEA exams. Students can book single or multiple sessions. Subjects are taught by highly regarded, current NCEA teachers from around New Zealand. Classes are limited to only fifteen students per group, and as we are expecting a sell-out, it is important to book early.
