Dear Parents and Caregivers

We congratulate our O’Shea Shield team who performed extremely well at St Bernard’s College last weekend finishing in second place just 1 point behind St Bernard’s College. Congratulations to Finn Meredith who won a trophy for Impromptu Speech.

Next week’s focus will be on Manaakitanga – show respect for our visitors from St John’s College.

DATES TO DIARY FOR NEXT WEEK: Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 May – St John’s sports exchange hosted at St Patrick’s College. The times of all matches are on our website. Wednesday 24 May – Nga Manu Korero at Te Papa for senior Maori students and the Board of Trustee meeting at 6pm in the Colin Boardroom. Parents are welcome to attend. Thursday 25 May – Barbershop regionals at Te Rauparaha Arena. Friday 26 May – House Sasa Competition at 2.30pm. Please note that the Parents of Patricians evening for Year 9 parents planned for Tuesday 23 May at 7.30pm in the hall will now be held on Tuesday 13 June.

KAPA HAKA Whānau Pānui for staff, students and whānau: A fundraiser to help raise money to attend the regional Kapa Haka Competition. $5 Chop Suey and Rice. Date: Friday, 26 May. Pick-up Place and time: Te Hue o Te Reo (Whaea’s Room), from 2.30pm. Please pre-order by giving your name, order and payment to Miss Madden or Mr Porima by Thursday, 25 May.

FOUNDATION BENEFIT DINNER AND AUCTIONSaturday 17 June – Michael Jones’ tickets are booked to join us, have you got yours?! Enjoy a fun night with the wider SPC community and support a great cause! NEAC PAYMENTS: 2017 NCEA fee $76.70 has now been attached to your son’s account, please be advised that payment must be made to the College by 29 August 2017. If you have a current Community Services Card, you can fill in a Financial Assistance form available from the cashier or from the NZQA website www.nzqa.govt.nz and the cost will be reduced to $20.
