Dear Parents and Caregivers
The McEvedy Shield competition takes place on Tuesday 6 March at Newtown Park. Students need to be at the Park by 9am. Summer uniform is to be worn and students may wear a hat. GO Wellington is unable to redirect all of our buses on Tuesday morning to Newtown Park but they have confirmed that the following buses – the Railway Station, Khandallah, Karori/Kelburn, Mairangi and Island Bay/Owhiro Bay buses will go direct to Newtown Park in the morning as will the Mana bus. In the afternoon buses to the Railway Station, Karori, Seatoun and Mana buses will be at Newtown Park at 2.30pm for the return trip. All other GO Wellington school buses will not be operating and students will need to make their own way home. The programme will be finished by 2.30pm. Food and drink will be available for purchase at the park. Students are encouraged to leave their school bags at home and should not bring any valuable items to the Park on the day.
